Please read these terms carefully before engaging FirstCall Pest Control for any service
"FirstCall Pest Control", "I", "me", or "my" refers to FirstCall Pest Control Ltd, a professional pest management company operating throughout the United Kingdom.
"Customer", "you", or "your" refers to the individual, property owner, tenant, landlord, or business entity engaging my pest control services.
"Services" refers to all pest control treatments, surveys, inspections, proofing works, prevention programmes, and commercial pest management contracts provided by FirstCall Pest Control.
"Technician" refers to any FirstCall Pest Control operative attending your property to carry out surveys, treatments, or proofing works.
All quotations are provided free of charge following a telephone, email, or on-site assessment. Quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
Prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Any additional treatments or works identified during the initial visit that fall outside the scope of the original quotation will be discussed and agreed with you before being carried out.
Emergency callout pricing may differ from standard quotation rates. Emergency service fees will be confirmed with you before a technician is dispatched to your property.
Commercial contract pricing is calculated on a bespoke basis according to the size, type, and risk profile of your premises. Annual contracts are subject to review upon renewal.
Residential Services: Payment is due in full upon completion of the treatment unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. I accept bank transfer, debit card, and credit card payments.
Commercial Contracts: Invoices are issued monthly or quarterly in accordance with your contract terms. Payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at 3% above the Bank of England base rate.
Large Projects: For proofing works or multi-visit treatment programmes exceeding £500, a deposit of 50% may be required before works commence, with the balance due upon completion.
I reserve the right to suspend services where invoices remain unpaid beyond the agreed payment terms.
I aim to attend all standard bookings within 48 hours of confirmation and emergency callouts on the same day or next working day, subject to technician availability in your area.
Appointment times are estimated and may be subject to minor variation due to the nature of preceding jobs. I will contact you if there is likely to be a significant delay to your scheduled appointment.
My technicians will carry out a thorough property survey before commencing treatment. A written report detailing findings, the proposed treatment plan, and any recommendations for proofing or prevention will be provided.
Follow-up visits included within the scope of your quotation will be scheduled at appropriate intervals based on the pest type and severity of the infestation.
You may cancel a booked appointment free of charge provided at least 24 hours notice is given before the scheduled visit. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to £50.
If a technician arrives at your property and is unable to gain access at the agreed time, a failed attendance charge of £40 may be applied.
Commercial contracts may be cancelled by either party with 30 days written notice. Any outstanding balance for services already rendered remains payable upon cancellation.
All standard pest treatments carry a guarantee period as specified in your quotation, typically ranging from 30 days to 12 months depending on the pest type and treatment method used.
If the pest problem recurs within the guarantee period, I will return and carry out further treatment at no additional cost, provided you have followed all aftercare instructions given by my technician.
The guarantee does not cover:
All treatments are carried out in accordance with current UK health and safety legislation, COSHH regulations, and industry best practice guidelines issued by the British Pest Control Association.
My technicians carry full personal protective equipment and will advise you of any precautions you need to take before, during, and after treatment. This may include vacating treated rooms for a specified period or removing pets from the property.
You are responsible for informing me of any relevant health conditions, allergies, or sensitivities affecting occupants of the property, including children, elderly residents, and pets, prior to treatment commencing.
Safety data sheets for all products used are available upon request.
All pesticides and biocides used by FirstCall Pest Control are approved for use in the United Kingdom and are applied strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and label recommendations.
I use an integrated pest management approach, combining chemical treatments with non-chemical methods such as trapping, exclusion, and habitat modification wherever possible to minimise pesticide use.
Where rodenticide baits are deployed, tamper-resistant bait stations are used to prevent access by children, pets, and non-target wildlife. All bait stations are monitored and serviced at regular intervals.
Detailed records of all pesticide applications are maintained for a minimum of five years in compliance with regulatory requirements.
You must provide my technicians with safe, clear, and unobstructed access to all areas of the property that require inspection or treatment. This includes lofts, basements, crawl spaces, outbuildings, and external perimeter areas.
If access to certain areas is restricted or hazardous, my technician may be unable to complete the treatment and the guarantee may be limited accordingly. Any access limitations will be noted in your treatment report.
For commercial premises, you are responsible for ensuring that my technicians can access all relevant areas during the agreed service window without disruption to your operations or risk to my staff.
My total liability for any claim arising from my services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific treatment or contract period in question.
FirstCall Pest Control shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, damage to reputation, or costs arising from temporary closure of premises.
I am not liable for pre-existing damage to property caused by pest activity prior to my involvement, nor for cosmetic damage that may occur as a necessary consequence of treatment or proofing works.
Nothing in these terms limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
